1. Is PHA suitable for sensitive skin?
LumiWhite 10% PHA Resurfacing Glow Serum is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, reactive and compromised skin. Formulated with 10% gluconolactone (PHA), it gently exfoliates dead skin cells while helping maintain hydration, making it an ideal alternative to stronger exfoliating acids.

2. What is PHA and how is it different from AHA or BHA?
PHA (Polyhydroxy Acid) is a next-generation chemical exfoliant with a larger molecular size than AHAs and BHAs. It penetrates the skin more gradually, helping smooth rough texture, brighten dull skin and improve uneven skin tone with a lower risk of irritation. It also attracts moisture, making it especially suitable for sensitive or dehydrated skin.

3. Should I choose a PHA serum or a physical exfoliating scrub?
They work differently and complement each other. LumiWhite 10% PHA Resurfacing Glow Serum uses chemical exfoliation to dissolve the bonds between dead skin cells, improving skin texture, radiance and uneven skin tone over time. LumiGlow Brightening Scrub uses biodegradable jojoba beads to physically remove surface build-up for instantly smoother skin. For best results, use the serum regularly and the scrub 1–2 times a week for an extra boost of smoothness and radiance.

4. Can I use PHA with retinol, Vitamin C or other exfoliating acids?
For best results, we recommend using LumiWhite 10% PHA Resurfacing Glow Serum as your only exfoliating treatment in each routine. Layering multiple exfoliating acids or retinoids may increase the risk of irritation without delivering better results. If you're using retinoids, AHAs or BHAs, alternate them on different days instead.

5. Can I use PHA every day?
It is suitable for daily use. For hyper sensitive skin, we recommend starting 2–3 times a week to allow your skin to adjust before increasing to daily use if comfortable. While PHAs are generally gentler than AHAs and BHAs, daily sunscreen is still recommended to protect your skin and maintain your brightening results.

6. How long does PHA take to work?
Most notice smoother, softer and more radiant-looking skin after just a few uses. With continued use, PHA helps improve uneven skin tone, rough texture, enlarged pores and the appearance of pigmentation for clearer, healthier-looking skin.

7. Does PHA help with dark spots and hyperpigmentation?
By gently removing dead skin cells and encouraging healthy skin turnover, PHA helps improve the appearance of dark spots, post-acne marks, hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone. For enhanced brightening results, pair it with LumiGlow TXA Brightening Cream.

8. Is PHA safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
LumiWhite 10% PHA Resurfacing Glow Serum is pregnancy and breastfeeding-friendly. If you have any concerns, we recommend consulting your healthcare professional before introducing new skincare products during pregnancy.
