Our Founder
Karen Lam
Building on Estetica Group’s four decades of experience in skincare, Karen Lam brings a modern perspective shaped by her own journey and leadership.
Through a life-altering kitchen accident that left her with third-degree burns across 20% of her body, Karen’s perspective on beauty shifted. Years of skin grafts and rehabilitation shaped her belief that confidence isn’t about perfect skin, but about feeling comfortable and empowered in the skin you’re in.
I hope to inspire more people to build up their self-confidence through skin confidence, and more importantly, to know that there’s beauty to be found even in life’s imperfections, scars and all.

Developed in collaboration with A*STAR, Singapore’s leading R&D agency, the SkAI™ Matrix guides how we evaluate and select every ingredient we use.
Each ingredient is assessed for safety, efficacy, compatibility and real-world performance before it becomes part of an ést.lab formula.
Using data-led insights, we identify the most relevant ingredients, develop them into formulations and validate their results through clinical testing before they are approved for use.
