- 10% Amino acids, electrolytes, & natural amino acid derivative Pyroglutamic acid (PCA): Strengthen skin barrier and effectively deliver soothing hydration with this electrolyte cocktail. Electrolytes are minerals (potassium, sodium, calcium, chloride, phosphate, and magnesium) that attract water, and are lost through sweat. With their extremely small molecular size (<500DA), they are able to penetrate quicker into the skin, just like how sports drinks help to replace lost water and electrolytes after a vigorous workout. By replenishing electrolytes with this skin quenching serum, the skin cells and in turn, the skin, are able to regulate and rebalance their pH level, allowing them to attract and hold moisture to stay hydrated for longer hours.
Amino acids and PCAs are building blocks of proteins that are also part of the skin's natural moisturising NMF. They work well with electrolytes to hydrate and strengthen the skin, and increase the skin's resilience.
- Encapsulated Sugar Technology: Boosts longer-lasting hydration by layering a protective film over the skin that locks in essential NMF actives and releasing sugar actives into the skin over time. Skin is 2.5 times more moisturised in 1 to 8 hours after a single topical application. After 24 hours, the skin remains moisturised and is 20 times more moisturised.
- Hydrolysed Yeast Protein: Rebalances the skin’s microbiome, the ecosystem of naturally occurring bacteria on the skin’s surface. By influencing the synthesis of lipids in the epidermis, it speeds up recovery of our skin’s natural protective barrier and rectifies dehydration.
